T R A N S C R I P T . . .
Hello and welcome back to the sixtieth episode of this GTA III The Definitive Edition video game series. And, I’ve ran into a bit of a pickle here because. I think in the order that I completed the missions here, as in Asuka Kasen, Kenji Kasen and King Courtney’s. I’ve done it in such a way where Ray Machowski disappeared. And, I couldn’t figure it out or really find any information what’s happened but, Asuka Kasen had reappeared and I had to with, from the last episode to this episode. I’ve quickly um, completed Paparazzi Purge and Payday For Ray quickly, just to reactivate Ray Machowski. I don’t know what’s happened.
So, as annoying as that is, I’ve had to redo them missions and I potentially have to redo a whole lot more missions. So, if you ever see like say the um, balance of the GTA money that I have, ammunition, health et cetera different from where it like loaded in from last one. It’s because I had to quickly do a previous mission I’ve already completed in a prior video. So I don’t, I have to calculate what missions needs to be done, which I can figure that out. Just, I haven’t done that yet. So yeah, It’s pretty annoying. I don’t know what the hell’s happened there. This is ‘Silence The Sneak‘. Okay we. I remember when I first played this game, this particular mission I couldn’t figure out, it was so difficult.
Couldn’t be a worse mission to be doing right now after what just happened. I really don’t want to stuff it up, cause I haven’t saved the game yet since I’ve completed them two missions quickly (that I’ve already done). Bloody Asuka missions! I hope I don’t have to do all Kenji’s as well. And all King Courtney’s. It’s possible, I just hope not. Oh my god! I mean, it will be good on the money, on the wallet. But, I think it just takes away that authenticity. But, there’s nothing I can do about it. Awe really, you had to stop right there. Alright, let me just get rid of this copper. Just give me a sec. There we go. So the idea here is to chuck grenades into that window and It’s, I find It’s very difficult and it requires just pure luck.
So let’s see how many it takes. Okay, first go. I’ll bloody take that. Oh shit! Forgot about that. Excuse my French. Perfect. Oh, let’s get the hell outta here and save it. This is one messy mission. What worry’s me, when I’m in my down time, I might have to redo the next Asuka Kasen mission, I’m pretty sure that may activate Kenji again. But, I’ll do that in my own time to get that out the way. But like I said, digits might not add up if you were to watch it closely each episode. But, you know why if you see this episode. Unbelievable! You think they would’ve like patched that up or something before re-releasing this game. Like seriously! Awe really. Awe, that annoys me right now. Thank god for the bribes. I hope you enjoyed the episode and I’ll see you on the next.

Summary
Navigating through the menacing streets of Staunton Island’s Liberty City in GTA 3 Definitive Edition, ‘Silence the Sneak’ stands out as a pivotal mission. A tale thick with intrigue, it kicks off with Ray Machowski – a crooked cop in dire straits, tucked away in the public restrooms of Belleville Park. The stakes are high, and his desperation is palpable.
Ray’s in hiding, and understandably so. When you dig deeper into the storyline, you find McAffrey, a former cop-turned-informant, under heavy watch by armed guards. McAffrey is cosy in a Newport apartment, protected by the Witness Protection Program (WitSec). Ray, fearing betrayal and exposure, is relying on you, Claude Speed, to eliminate the threat.
The mission’s setting is crucial. Nestled in Newport, McAffrey’s apartment becomes a fortress to penetrate. Strategic planning becomes your best friend here because successfully flushing McAffrey out means tossing grenades through an open window. It’s the kind of challenge that demands precision and a bit of nerve.
Your motivation in all this? A substantial $30,000 GTA reward awaits if you pull it off. But the allure of cash isn’t the only thing driving you; there’s also the thrill of outsmarting the elaborate security measures and executing the perfect plan. It’s about strategy, timing, and making each move count without triggering a full-blown firefight.

Step-by-Step Guide: Successfully Completing the Mission
Taking on ‘Silence the Sneak’ means preparing yourself well, both with strategy and the right equipment. Before diving into the action, make sure you’ve stocked up on grenades and any essential armaments. These tools aren’t just about causing chaos—they’re your ticket to getting past McAffrey’s defences undetected.
Approaching McAffrey’s safehouse is no small feat, as you’ll quickly notice the lack of security not cordon around Newport. Rushing in guns blazing is unnecessary, so precision and stealth are key. Survey the apartment, find the safest route to get a clear shot at the open window.
Grenade tossing sounds simple, but it’s more art than science here. Precision is crucial but it all boils down to luck, needing practice to ensure your grenades find their mark. A little patience goes a long way—take a moment to line up your throw perfectly, accounting for distance and angle, to make sure it lands inside without a hitch.
Once you flush the rat McAffrey out with a successful grenade. Leverage cover and keep moving to avoid getting pinned down by his guards. The key? Stay unpredictable and adapt to the situation as it unfolds.
And remember, whether it’s stealth or full-on combat, understanding your options can make or break this mission. Keeping a cool head and an adaptable approach will see you come out on top, with both McAffrey neutralised and $30,000 GTA richer.
Mastering the Game: Tips, Tricks, and Strategies for Aspiring Players
Conquering ‘Silence the Sneak’ requires more than just firepower—it’s about mastering the art of gameplay. Efficiency is everything when aiming for that sweet $30,000 GTA reward, so let’s focus on strategies that save time and minimise mistakes.
First off, know the layout of the game’s world. Familiarity with Liberty City’s Staunton Island geography can give you a huge advantage, allowing you to plan escape routes and identify strategic hideouts. For instance, understanding how to navigate Newport or Belleville Park smoothly can help evade any unexpected patrols.
Weapons management is crucial. Always double-check your gear before starting the mission. Top up your health and armour, and carry a mix of weapons for different scenarios—a sniper rifle for distance, grenades for the mission’s specific needs, and a reliable handgun for close encounters.
Another tip is to revisit and practice the mission multiple times. Every failure is a lesson learned, helping you refine your approach and tactics. Pay attention to what works and what doesn’t, such as noting guard attack patterns or discovering better cover locations when things get heated.
Lastly, growing your character’s skills can make a world of difference. Increase Claude Speed’s abilities by practising shooting accuracy, collecting the permanent health and armour boost, learning to navigate vehicles more swiftly, and improving your reaction times. Even Infinite Sprint can play huge to your advantage.
In the end, each playthrough should feel smoother, more controlled, and ultimately, more successful. With practice and these tips, breaking through McAffrey’s defences and executing the mission becomes a satisfying feat, not just a challenge.

It’s exciting to see the remastered version with stunning 4K visuals in the Definitive Edition. Silence the Sneak always stood out to me for its tension and strategic planning. I remember the challenge of timing everything just right—definitely a test of patience and skill! Personally, I love revisiting these classics with upgraded graphics, as they bring a fresh feel while preserving the nostalgic gameplay.
