T R A N S C R I P T . . .
Hello and welcome back to the one-hundred and twenty-eighth episode of this GTA III The Definitive Edition video game series. Today, weβre gonna search for our second emergency vehicle for our Import/Export Exchange List in Portland Docks Crane. And, weβre gonna look for the βFire Truckβ. So, we need to go towards Harwood way. Come back this way. So, weβre heading to the, okay!
Weβre heading to the Portland District Fire Department to obtain the Fire Truck just there. Alright, we got some Mafia coming this way. Weβre gonna have to sort these guys out real quick. So, we obtained the Fire Truck and weβll go right around, away from hostile territories to Portland Harbor. Here we are at Portland Docks FDLC (Fire Department Liberty City). This time around, weβll be able to actually watch the Portland Crane in action.
Here it is. So, Itβs lifting up. Craneβs extending and turning, pretty cool! Itβs getting released on top of that frigate ship. And I take Itβs being exported. Nice one, hereβs your fifteen-hundred GTA dollars. Okay, once again, weβre gonna randomly select a vehicle within this Portland Docks garage. What are we gonna get? What are we gonna get? Weβll go, this one! What was it? I didnβt even see what it was.
The Linerunner! Alrighty, thereβs no way this fits in our garage but, weβll try and force it in. Off to go to Claudeβs Portland District Safehouse. See if we can ram this bad boy in there. Might have to wait till it actually lifts. Nah, weβll store it there, even though Itβs gonna despawn. I hope you enjoyed this episode and Iβll see you on the next!

Navigating the Intricacies of the Fire Truck Side-Mission
Getting into the Fire Truck side mission in GTA 3 can be both rewarding and satisfying. Whether youβre aiming for some quick cash or looking to complete the game 100%, knowing how to tackle this task is key.
First things first, tracking down a fire truck is essential. Theyβre primarily found at fire stations, unless theyβre on the move, responding to a blaze. Liberty City has three main stations: one by your Portland Hideout near Harwood, another by Staunton Island near the lift bridge at Belleville Park, and the third nestled at Shoreside Vale within the Francis International Airport entrance area.
Grabbing hold of a fire truck doesnβt have to be random or challenging if youβre aware of these locations. Each spot gives you a chance to snag a truck without too much hassle. This knowledge helps plot a course for efficient vehicle collection.
Once youβve got the fire truck, head to the Portland Harbor and locate the Emergency Vehicle Crane. Hereβs where the real action happens. Manoeuvre the truck under the craneβs magnet to finalise the exchange. With each successful swap, youβre awarded $1500 GTA. While each vehicle type can only be exchanged once, the total rewards add up nicely, especially with a $200,000 GTA bonus on the line for delivering seven different emergency vehicles.
Successfully navigating this mission means cash back in your pocket and the satisfaction of completing a unique challenge that many players overlook. Accomplishing the fire truck exchange not only boosts your in-game funds but also your sense of achievement as a GTA fan/player.
Strategizing for an Ultimate Gaming Experience
Completing the emergency vehicle exchange efficiently requires tactical planning. Start by scoping out the best routes to gather each vehicle type. This helps minimise travel time, allowing you to focus on maximising rewards. Some emergency vehicles like the Rhino Tank will only appear with an ex amount of wanted-stars.
After dropping off every vehicle, keep an eye out for floating emergency vehicle icons beneath the craneβs magnet. These icons are a handy tool, letting you retrieve any previously exchanged vehicle for free. This feature can significantly enhance your game plan, providing easy access to specific types needed for missions or exploration.
Aiming for all seven vehicle exchanges? Remember, youβll need to deliver different types, so make sure no doubles are brought to the harbor. Planning ahead ensures you secure that hefty $200,000 GTA bonus, which can be a game-changer for buying weapons or ammunition at Ammu-Nation.
Lastly, thereβs an undeniable satisfaction in checking off each exchange from your Emergency Vehicle Crane List. Mastering the art of these trades elevates your gameplay experience, mixing both tactics and enjoyment. The sense of achievement becomes just another reminder of why Grand Theft Auto 3: The Definitive Edition remains such an engaging title.

I concur thatΒ this guide offers a solid breakdown of where and how to get the Fire Truck for the Portland Docks Emergency Vehicle Crane.Β
I think by mentioning the Harwood Fire Department as the go-to location can be helpful for many players looking to avoid unnecessary delays. The same goes with warning about avoiding Leone Mafia-controlled territory, those notes will change things for many frustrated players, considering how easily an exchange attempt can end by being wasted!Β
I think it can be useful to add a quick-reference checklist of all the emergency vehicles needed for the mission though. That way players can plan ahead and avoid backtracking. Thanks for keeping the walkthrough clear and focused on what players actually need to do toΒ succeed.
